Guten Tag

Welcome to the fifth and latest incarnation of der kellerwerks. I have a lot of great things planned for 2010, and am eager to get started on them. Work-wise, I've been keeping busy with my job at Pinnacle (including winning an American Graphic Design Award along with the rest of the design team), in addition to various freelance projects. I have finished Issue #8 and the new website of Monster Attack Team magazine, the website for the band Monster Island Plus, and a flash music video for the band The Deathray Davies

I may be contacted at either the phone number or the email link on the left side of the screen. Please don't hesitate to drop me a line if you're interested a freelance project, or just to provide feedback on anything you see here.

Thank you for visiting der Kellerwerks, and please keep checking this area for more updates.

About Mike Keller

Mike proved himself a talented fine artist from an early age, into his high school years and beyond. After graduation, he pursued an associate of Applied Science degree in graphic arts technology from Tarrant County Junior College (now TCC), which he received in 1996. After brief stints at Omega Printing in Las Colinas and the Network Graphics Service Bureau in Ft. Worth, he realized that his skills needed some professional honing. To this end he went for further instruction at ATI's North Richland Hills location, eventually receiving a diploma in what was then called their 'graphic illustration' program and graduating as one of two valedictorians in 1999. He got his first design-oriented job while still enrolled as a student. From here he moved on to Verizon's Irving Spec Art Center - developing ads for the yellow pages over the next four years. His professional career and eagerness to learn have never stopped expanding. He has done stints teaching graphic design at the very institution from which he once graduated and has explored web design and video graphics. He is currently employed by the award-winning firm Pinnacle Graphics in Addison. He has done freelance work for the Creative Group, Art Squad, local sports photographers, musical groups, and film festivals, among other clients. He is an active member of the DSVC (Dallas Society of Visual Communication). His fine art has enjoyed public showings in galleries located in Deep Ellum and throughout Dallas. Other activities include the production of amateur films, the writing of plays, novels and short stories, organization of local rock festivals with as many as fifteen bands, participation in the Ft. Worth/Lone Star Film Festival and the Asian Film Festival of Dallas, and environmental field research with the DFW Herpetological Society.
